It is very important that your eyes are examined on a yearly basis in order to make sure that they are remaining healthy. At North Country Optical, our eye doctor, Dr. George Mitsoglou, can provide you with complete eye testing and care at our eye clinic in Milton VT.
When patients come to our eye clinic in Milton VT for eye care, they can receive comprehensive eye exams, complete contact lens exams and fittings, and treatment for many different eye conditions. We also do pre-LASIK screening. If you feel you may have an eye infection, it is important that you come in to see our eye doctor on an immediate basis so that the eye infection can be treated, and will not develop a more serious vision problem. We offer many different types of eye disease testing at our office, as part of our regular and contact lens exams. During this testing, your eyes will be screened for many different eye diseases and disorders including: glaucoma; cataracts; macular degeneration; diabetic retinopathy; retinal tears; dry eyes; and other problems of the cornea, macula, and retina. It is very important to have your eye testing done on a yearly basis, or as otherwise indicated by our optometrist, to make sure that your eyes are properly taken care of. There are many serious eye diseases, such as glaucoma, which may show no symptoms in the early stages. However, the time when eye diseases can best be treated to prevent vision loss, is when diseases are in these early stages, before any permanent vision problems have occurred. During your eye exam, your eyes will be screened for refractive errors such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism. Any of these refractive errors can be easily corrected with either prescription eyeglasses or contact lenses. Even if you are diagnosed with dry eye, there are now contact lenses which can safely and comfortably correct your vision.
